Opening a Can of Woop Ass
Lisa, Alan, Zack, Jim, Brad and Dan
Sunny and Hot, Water temperature 92* and clear
About a month ago I got a call from Lisa wanting to surprise Dan with a special birthday present. She had been seeing my business cards and flyers around the house and Dan had been studying them. She called me and set up a surprise trip and today was the day. They met me at 3:30 ready to go catch bait. We put 240 in the tanks and went looking for some fish. I set up in an area just for them to get experience putting the baits in then we went looking for fish. I found what I wanted and we set up on them. Fish started attacking our baits and for an hour we spanked them. I lost them a couple of times but found them quickly and hit them again. Lisa got hot and started hooking up fish after fish. I think she had a can of Woop Ass hidden in her corner and unleashed it on the Stripers today. By 9:30 we had easily caught our limits of 28 Stripers and got off the water early enough to beat the heat and enjoy the rest of the day. Out of the 34 Stripers we caught this morning 31 of them were keeper fish. Quite the present for the birthday boy!

Another great catch!
Sam, Josh, Sam and Michael
Sunny and Hot, Water Temperature 91* and Clear
This morning I got out and put 250 baits in my tanks then picked my crew up at High Point at 5:30. We set out 10 downlines, planner boards and a free line and for the first hour had continuous action. We hit four or five areas today and caught fish at all but one area. Although Sam caught most of the fish everyone had a great time. Even Josh with his left handed excuse managed to pop a half dozen Stripers. It got hot out on the water this morning but that is how the Stripers want it this year. If you like to fish come on and get you some!

Thumbs
Duck Seay and Pearson
Don fished yesterday and caught this nice Stringer
Sunny and Hot, Water temperature 88* and clear
Duck had only a couple hours to fish this morning because he had to get back to feed the horses, cows, goats, chickens, dogs and cats so I was under the gun to get it done as quick as possible. I knew I was challenged because Duck has a habit of holding his thumb over the line while reeling in fish which about 80 percent of the time causes the fish to get off the hook. I told Pearson he was going to responsible for filling up the cooler and he rose to the occasion catching most of the fish this morning. The fish were scattered but I managed to locate a couple of pods of Stripers that gave us plenty of action. After I cut Ducks thumb off he did catch a couple of keeper Stripers. Its hard to teach an old Dog new tricks. Its probably going to be hard to hold the filet knife without a thumb!

Tony put these lucky fishermen on some nice fish today.
Spanking the Stripers
Jeff, Michael and Dennis
Sunny and Hot, Water temperature 88* and clear
Today I brought Michael along with me to be a first mate so we caught 217 baits and picked the guys up at 5:30. We did a mock set up to show the guys how to deploy the baits then I went and set up on some fish. Michael was working the front of the boat and I worked the back. I was baiting and netting 5 lines in the back and he was working 6 rods up front. I was a great thing I brought him today because my crew showed up only with 3 people instead of 4. I told them right off the bat that they were in trouble because three people could not handle the action and I was right, they didn't know what hit them. By 8:30 we had limited out and beat the heat yet one more time. Fishing continues to be great, better book a trip and Get Ya Some!

A morning of catching
Dan, Josh, Sarah, Curt, Aaron and Clark
Dan
Sunny and Hot, Water temperature 88* and clear
This morning I got out early to catch bait but the full moon made it tough. I picked everyone up at High Point at 5:30 and saw some Stripers within about 5 minutes so we set up on them. Less than five minutes later we had 3 rods bent over and others taking hits. Everything we had out got bit so we had to take some time to get the fish off the hooks, rebait and review how to reel fish in when they hook up. We continued to fish the area and for about 30 minutes catching fish. Today I looked several times for fish and caught fish almost everywhere we set up. We all had fun and they had plenty of fish to eat for their week vacation on Lake Anna.
A special note: Two weeks ago Sarah donated half of her liver to her mother and was well enough to catch most of the Stripers today. Life is Good!

A morning with my grandson
Michael
Sunny and Warm, Water Temperature 87* and clear
This morning I took my grandson Michael out for some fun reeling in Stripers. On our first set the first fish he reeled in was a 8 pounder which was a great way to start the morning. I was not out to burn the fish up this morning, we just wanted to hit different areas seeing what size fish were around. After he caught that fish we moved to another area but only caught Hybrids there so I moved again. We worked the edge of a flat and by 7 we had caught 15 Stripers so we hit another area similar to that one and wore ourselves out. After Michael reeled in about 40 Stripers we decided to release the rest of the baits, take his dog for a swim and head back home. We got off the water before 9 and on the way home he saw the clock in the truck and said "Gosh, I thought it was 2 o'clock! Time is different when you get up at 3am.

Stripers must be biting
Bubba, Danny and Driftwood
Bill, Mike , Mike and Floyd
Bill
A good friend Floyd fished today out of his boat and caught some very nice fish. I was going to say fishing has to be great for him to have a stringer like that but he has improved tremendously in his efforts to locate and catch Stripers on Lake Anna. He has almost broken the code to catch fish with regularity. A beautiful day on the lake.
Striper fishing is getting Hotter!

Sunny and Hot, water temperature 87* and Clear
This morning I got out and caught over 200 baits then picked my gang up at 5:30 at High Point. We looked for fish for a few minutes then I saw what I wanted and set up on them. Before we knew it rods were bent over. As we were reeling fish in other boats saw our action and moved in immediately. Within 5 minutes we had 5 other boats pushing us off the fish. Some of them started casting at our boat so I eased off of the fish continuing to catch nice fish. I decided to leave those fish for them and move but we never saw them catch a fish. We made a move and set up on a couple fish with no success then I found again what I wanted to see so we put baits in their faces and proceeded to nail them. It didn't take long before we had our limits and went back to the marina before it got too warm. Danielle and Jen had the hot hands today.

Saturday Morning
Reid and Brock
Terri, Tammy, Eric, Daniel and Daniel Jr.
John, Mary, Cameron and Doug
Sunny and Hot, Water Temperature 87* and Clear
I guess you can say today fishing was slow. Tony and I looked for schools with little success so we simply got close to some fish and bait, put our lines out and picked off fish after fish. Being a Saturday on the lake it is hard for us to work a school due to all the other fishermen and boat traffic. We can set up in an area with no boats in sight and within 10 minutes we get surrounded by other fishermen. Our only alternative is to set up around fish and catch singles hoping to limit out. It all worked out today because everyone caught plenty of Stripers and took home plenty of good eating fish. Hopefully all the other Striper fishermen on the lake had success as well. All is well that ends well. I am looking forward to getting back out during the week and do some peaceful fishing.

Fishing's Hot
Stewart, Bud, Doug and Ram
Sunny and Hot, Water Temperature 85* and Clear
After easily catching bait for the last 2 months we get out this morning a 3am to catch bait and 2 1/2 hours and 30 throws later all I had to show for my efforts were 75 baits. Every morning I have been starting off with 250 baits and usually by 10 we have gone through all of them. I looked for about an hour after picking the guys up at 5:30 and finally made a throw and caught 200 in my net in one cast. Well, we had bait now and it was time to get serious. Today was Ram's first day ever fishing for anything so I instructed him and the other guys on how to deploy the baits and how to reel in the fish. As I was teaching them I mentioned that Ram will probably do better than everyone else because he is not set in his ways of fishing and that I had particular ways of doing things that put fish in the boat. He did not let me down today, he caught most of the fish! We hit 5 or 6 different sets of fish this morning and everyone had a ball reeling in Stripers. Although the temperatures are getting hot outside the fishing is getting hotter. We got off the water in time to beat the heat.

A rainy, cool morning
Ed, Mo, Tom, Jon and Meggie
Cloudy, rain and cool, Water temperature 80* and Clear
Today Tony took these happy fishermen out for a morning of Catching Stripers on Lake Anna. By the looks of the stringers they had great success even for a holiday weekend. The weather didn't stop the fish from biting. I will bet there were fireworks going off in the boat when all the rods were hooked up at once!

Today is Friday before all Hell breaks loose so we got out early and had some fun on the lake before the crowds hit the water. Stripers today were not very tightly schools but we managed to catch plenty of fish before boat traffic got too bad. How bout them smiles! There is still plenty of time to get out and take advantage of this great summer fishing. Contact us and let us Hook You Up!
