                                 caught over 150 Crappie this Morning!

   Bryan, Don, Bubba and myself fished this morning and had a Pretty good day. This fishery never ceases to amaze me or our clients. This is a good example of catches in a morning of fishing. In total today we caught over 40 Stripers and over 150 Crappie. Lake Anna Cold Front Stripers 4/3

 This morning was a simply cold 25 degrees. Yesterday a cold front blew through with 27* in the morning and 20 mph winds. It was so bad yesterday we had three charters and by 8am the clients from two of the boats tapped out and asked to call it quits! Anyway my clients that I had scheduled for this morning tapped out as well because they had small children so Lee and I decided to call our Interstate Battery sponsor and set up a trip for this afternoon. We picked them up at their dock at 2 and went looking for Stripers. After a couple hours of fishing we had caught 10 keepers which was plenty for us to make many wonderful tasting dinners. Cold fronts are always very hard to fish but our Pro's understand the fishery and work hard to make your day successful. Fishing is great this year and will only get better. Lake Anna catches 3/29 & 30

    The fish are still eating here on beautiful Lake Anna even though major cold fronts keep blowing through. Bubba and Don had two consecutive days of morning and afternoon charters catching over 100 Crappie each outing. I took Jeff, his son and friends out and they caught Largemouth, Stripers, Wypers, Crappie and Catfish in a morning charter. March catches have been great this year and I am sure April will be even better.    Today we caught three citations out of my boat which put a smile on birthday boy Scott. Citations are usually rare but catching 3 in a day is extraordinary. One of our guides Bubba and his clients also caught 3 Citation Crappie a couple of days ago. Only one other time has this happened when last year one of my clients caught two Largemouth Citations and a Citation Hybrid, all within an hour!
